Azubuike Chibuzo Nelson popularly known as Phyno was born on October 9, 1986. He is an indigen of Anambra State, Nigeria but grew up in Enugu State. He had dreams of becoming a pilot but grew up to study public administration at the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu. Rap is always very Influencial you know and he went ahead to showcase his music skills from his second year at IMT.

The energetic rapper began producing his own music in 2003 and started rapping in 2010 after which he moved to Lagos State, Nigeria to continue his musical career. As a producer, he worked with artists such as Timaya, Flavour, Ruggedman, Bracket, J Martins, and Mr. Raw.
In a recent interview, Phyno revealed that Mr. Raw, a top Rapper in the country with his Igbo rap style, is one of the few people he sees as his Idol.
