Full Biography of Yul Edochie
Popularly known simply as Yul Edochie, Yul Chibuike Daniel Edochie is the son of popular Nigerian actor, Pete Edochie. He was born on 7 January 1982 and is also a successful actor in his own right in the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood. Yul Edochie, who is the last born from six children, grew up both in Lagos and Enugu, Nigeria.
His education began at Lillian’s Day Nursery School and Robinson Street Primary School, Enugu between 1984 and 1992. He furthered his secondary education from 1992 to 1998 after attending Marist Brothers’ Juniorate, Uturu; University Secondary School, Enugu; Ecumenical Community Secondary School, Enugu and New Haven Boys Secondary School Enugu Respectively.
On graduating, Yul Edochie moved to the University of Port Harcourt, where he acquired a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts.

Movie Career
In 2005, Yul Edochie made his debut in Nollywood in his first film titled “The Exquires” alongside the Late Justus Esiri and Enebeli Elebuwa. He soon became very famous following his role in bluckbuster movie titled “Wind of Glory” featuring Genevieve Nnaji and Desmond Elliot.

To support upcoming movie acts, Nollywood actor Yul Edochie launched his own film academy, Yul Edochie Academy in 2015. The actor launched his Academy as a subsidiary of Yul Edochie Arts World. Founded in 2015 by the filmmaker, the academy was established in line with the vision of the filmmaker, to raise an army of well-grounded and professional actors and actresses, whom will be the next superstars in Nigerian movies.
The academy, as explained by Yul Edochie, is set up to train the next generation of Nollywood actors. And actresses, a duty which he intends to individually bring to reality. Also, the academy gives talented people the chance to be introduced to the Nigerian Film Industry.
The actor in a recent interview, revealed that although his father is a well known Nollywood actor, he however, didn’t find it easy to get a break through with ease. About his Family Mother And Siblings
Initially, there were reports that Rita Edochie (another popular actress in Nollywood) was Yul’s mother. However, Rita is Yul’s aunty while Josephine Edochie is his real mother. She meet her husband “Pete Edochie” during her time as a worker in the broadcasting industry.
Though Yul has five other siblings (four brothers and a sister), one of his brothers “Linc Edochie” is also a Nollywood actor, writer and producer.
The Nigerian ladies were left in tears and pain after Yul Edochie broke the news that he was marrying to the love of his life “May Aligwe” who he dated for six years.
She accepted him even before he gained admission to the University of Port Harcourt and although he had no money at the time, she went ahead to settle down with him. They both tied the knot in 2004 when Yul was just 22 years old. Today, the couple has three children- two boys and a girl- and they all live a comfortable life.
