Former Branch Davidians cult member Kathy Schroeder made a shocking claim, relating to Koresh’s alleged sexual abuse of children as young as 12 in the cult.

Schroeder candidly told filmmakers: “People think that a man having sex with a bunch of underaged girls is a crime.

“And in conventional wisdom, this could probably be very well true.

“However, these weren’t underaged girls because you come of age at 12. All these girls were adults in our belief system.”

Schroeder’s claims saw riled-up viewers quickly share their opinions across social media.

A raging viewer said: “No 12-year-old is a woman. I don’t care what world you live [in]. Beyond disgusting.”

Another added: “Defending a paedophile. Absolutely vile! I really hope if hell is real that David Koresh is rotting!”

A final irate person wrote: This b***h on this Waco documentary p***ing me off.

“She saying that in their belief system, the girls were of age at 12. So that meant that David could have sex with him.

“Y’all were sick individuals.”
