Simisola Ogunleye popularly known as Simi is a Nigerian Afropop singer, songwriter, actress and vocalist.
She is currently 32 years of age and was born on 19 April 1988 in Yaba, Lagos State, Western Nigerian.
Simi got primary and secondary education at Ikorodu, Lagos State before proceeding to Covenant University where she acquired a degree in Mass Communication.
She started her musical career at a local church choir and soon became popular as a good dancer and vocal singer.
Simisola wrote her first song at 10 years of age. While she moved into music professionally in 2008, after the release of her debut studio album “Ogaju” which had songs like “Iya Temi” and “Ara lle” courtesy of Samklef production.
In January 2014, Simi released the 5-track EP Restless, an awesome tracklist which earned her a record deal with X3M Music. The EP comprises majorly of covers recorded by popular acts, including Rihanna’s “Man Down” and Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain”.
Till date, the sensation Afropop singer has since been releasing series of hits singles, albums, and done notable collaboration.
Simisola left a scare in the heart of her fans after her hit single “Tiff” was released in 2014 which took her singing career to full prominence and got nominated for the Best Alternative Song t the 2015 Headies.

Simisola got married to a fellow singer, Adekunle Gold on January 9, 2019.
She explained in a recent interview that she meet her husband Adekunle Gold by mistake on Facebook. She explained, that she wasn’t aware of who he really was till they meet at an event she was heading.
The welding ceremony was behind close door with both already for five years.
