Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has vowed that he will continue to score for Napoli whether he takes penalties or not.

Osimhen, 24, netted twice in Napoli’s 3-0 comfortable win against German side, Eintracht Frankfurt at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Wednesday.

The former Lille man had the chance to score his first-ever hat-trick in the UEFA Champions League when Napoli was awarded a penalty in the second half.

The Nigerian instead passed the opportunity to Poland international Piotr Zielinski.

Zielinski calmly slotted home for the Partenopei’s third goal of the night.

Osimhen, who was awarded Man of the Match after the game, said he had no problem allowing his teammate to score from the spot.

“Zielinski asked if he could take the penalty and I said no problem. It doesn’t matter who scores as long as the team achieves success,” he told reporters.

“It’s the most important thing. I know my goals will come with or without penalties.”

Osimhen has scored four goals in five appearances for Napoli in the Champions League this season.
